Y STYLE – TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to Y Style! By booking an appointment or purchasing products, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. BOOKINGS & CANCELLATIONS

 

  • Appointments are secured via Fresha. We capture your credit card details at the time of booking, but no deposit is required.

  • Cancellations/Rescheduling:

    • More than 24 hours' notice – No charge.

    • Less than 24 hours' notice – 50% of the booked service will be charged.

    • No-shows – 100% of the service will be charged.

  • Late Arrivals: If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled or cancelled, and a 50% fee will apply.

2. PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

 

  • We accept cash, card, bank transfers, and gift cards.

  • Refunds for Services:

    • If you are dissatisfied with a service, please contact us within 48 hours of your appointment.

    • We may offer a complimentary fix or refund. Refunds will require clients to return for a removal.

  • Product Exchanges: Faulty products can be exchanged. Proof of purchase is required.

  • No refunds on change of mind for services or products.

3. COMPLIMENTARY FIXES

 

  • Bio Sculpture Gel – Complimentary fixes are available if lifting or chipping occurs within 7 days of your appointment.

  • Shellac – Complimentary fixes are available within 5 days.

  • Fixes must be completed within the 7-day period following your appointment.

5. CLIENT ETIQUETTE & STUDIO POLICIES

 

  • Y Style operates by appointment only. Walk-ins are not accepted.

  • No pets allowed in the studio.

  • Guests are discouraged due to limited space. If you need assistance or cannot avoid bringing someone, please notify us in advance.

  • Clients must be 16 years or older to receive services.

6. HEALTH & SAFETY

 

  • If we detect possible infections, damage, or nail conditions, we may decline service and recommend seeing a doctor.

  • Our tools and equipment are fully sanitized after each appointment.

7. PHOTOS & PRIVACY

 

  • We may take photos or videos of our work for social media and marketing purposes.

  • Verbal consent will be requested for taking photos; however, further permission to post may not be requested.

  • Client details, nail history, and service notes are recorded through Fresha to provide a personalized experience. This information is kept confidential.

8. AFTERCARE

 

To ensure long-lasting results:

  • Wear gloves when cleaning or handling harsh chemicals.

  • Avoid using nails as tools.

  • Apply cuticle oil daily.

  • Schedule regular maintenance (Bio Sculpture Gel: every 3-4 weeks, Shellac: every 2 weeks).

9. GIFT CARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

  • Gift cards are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase and cannot be extended.

  • Gift cards are redeemable for services or products at Y Style and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced or refunded.

  • In the event of salon closure, refunds for unused gift cards may be available, subject to Australian Consumer Law.

  • If Y Style permanently ceases operations, gift cards will no longer be redeemable. Refunds or alternative arrangements will be made where possible, in line with Australian Consumer Law.

10. PATCH TESTS

 

  • Patch tests are available upon request if you have sensitive skin or allergies.

  • We recommend a patch test 24-48 hours prior to your appointment to minimize the risk of reactions.

11. LIABILITY

 

  • Y Style uses professional-grade products and follows strict hygiene practices. However, we are not liable for:

    • Reactions to products unless a patch test was conducted prior.

    • Nail damage caused by improper aftercare or external factors.

    • Dissatisfaction with nail designs or colours after the appointment.

  • By booking, you acknowledge that nail treatments carry some risk of sensitivity or irritation. Please notify us of any allergies, sensitivities, or health concerns in advance.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe a treatment may compromise your health or well-being.
